SAFE IN MAGNOLIA
Our Mission
The mission of safeinmagnolia.org is to draw the much-needed attention of city officials to unsafe intersections in the Magnolia neighborhood. We strive to partner with them to address these hazards with expedience and transparency, guided by the voice of our community.
2015 Focus Project
For 2015, or top goal is to establish right-of-way control at the intersection of 32nd Ave W and W Raye St. Our proposed solution is to install solar-powered, blinking stop signs addressing North-South traffic flow.
Stop at the Pop!
Nerves are tense at the intersection of 32nd Ave W and W Raye St, as it's flooded each day with rushes of car and foot traffic. Catharine Blaine elementary school students, Pop Mounger pool visitors, Magnolia Little Leaguers, Magnolia Soccer Leaguers, playground visitors, and Albertsons shoppers are all faced with chaos and uncertainty as they approach.
Right of way control needs to be established before another life is lost...
